Blac and white, and color version of an “abstract” (I’m actually not really sure if it was supposed to be abstract, i think it had to be nature inspire or urban inspire) and i choose to use Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds  by the Beatles as my “theme”, it turned out ok, i do want to take some time and re do it digitally (it was made by hand with inks and markers) and improved if possible.

Some stuff

So it took me a while but i finally took some crappy pictures of some of the illustrations I did last year.

Here is a painting for a project base on the winter olympics, and let me tell you something, winter olympics is probably one of the most boring subjects to paint, except of course of figure skating, and that is why at least 85% of the entire class did at least one of the painting base on that sport.

and here is a Guacamaya!! By this time of the semester i had quitted my small dots painting and started with the big brushes style (which my teacher preferred), i think is ok, is a bit chubby.

WANT! #2

If there is something I love is books, but I’m quite superficial when it comes to books, the cover has to be beautiful for me to buy it, and sometimes i find myself buying a book i’ll never read but has a wonderful cover design. That’s why i want the entire collection of Hardcover Penguin classics design by Carolie Bickfor-Smith.

I particularly lick ALice in wonderland, Wuthering Heighs, Oliver Twist and Sense and Sensibility, but really all of them are GORGEOUS!

BAM! BAM bam!

So, yesterday i started my driver lessons in car and today in the classroom, no need to say the in class room is incredible boring, BUT! it allow me to doodle some simplify cartoon version of me and my friends from school.

I love 50’s and 60’s hollywood, and so I love the rat pack, more than the artist that were part of it the idea and how this people were doing that it seem kind of childish, but they didn’t care, cause they were having fun. So that’s why is the “b-pack” B is the block we were in las semester.

Something that happens when you start doing graphic design is that out of nowhere people you barely talk to, will ask you for logo designs, in my case relative, which means I do it for free. Anyway here are some of them!

I know I still have much to improve, but i do think they are good logos.

My poster till date, i think i should try to do some on my own, about random stuff, they could even be about something that’s neither design or Calgary, wow how liberating!

I guy that was with me in my first year design classes, once told me that the reason i got good grades was because i always did the “same trendy thing”, i got mad and never talked to him again, but it actually help me to realize that I did had a style.

LOOK! look at ME!

Summer is coming which means FREE TIME!, which also mean finding hobbies to fill the time you filled with homework; so here it is my blog.

One of the most difficult projects for my typography class, it’s not so easy to represent words with just type, but i think it turn out ok, and the exercise help me to think out of the box when it comes with type.
